A trading desk is a multi-monitor thing, and the terminal treats it that way. Panels are not trapped in one window; they pop out into real operating-system windows you can throw across monitors.
Workspaces, containers, windows
Layout is three levels: workspaces you switch between, tabbed containers within them, and windows placed on a free grid with drag, resize, and snap. Layouts and open windows persist and come back on launch.
Real pop-outs, kept in sync
A panel detaches into its own native window, or a whole workspace opens on another monitor. Every window holds its own connection to the engine, which fans data out to all of them, and symbol link groups and theme stay in sync across every one through a small cross-window bus.
Genuine multi-monitor on the web
Real pop-out windows are rare on desktop and absent on the web. Bringing genuine multi-window layouts to the browser build is part of the web terminal work now in progress.
