The Consumer Price Index (CPI) (MoM) is a key indicator to measure inflation and changes in purchasing trends month-to-month basis. Generally speaking, a high reading is seen as positive (or bullish) for the Mexico, while a low reading is seen as negative (or Bearish). CPI measures the change in the prices of goods and services contained in a basket of consumer items. The Central bank pays very close attention to this figure in its role of maintaining price stability.
