The Average Hourly Earnings (YoY) is an indicator that measures the change in the average hourly earnings of employees in the USA over a year. It is released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics and provides insight into labor cost inflation and labor market tightness. The Federal Reserve takes this measure into account when making decisions about interest rates. A higher than expected reading can be seen as positive for the USD, while a lower than expected reading can be seen as negative.
